Friends of Fire Island Pines is a New York State Domestic Not-for-Profit Corporation operating for charitable purposes. We are in the process of applying to the Internal Revenue Service for recognition of its exemption under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and we expect that the application will be granted, in which case the full amount of your gift will qualify as a charitable contribution and be fully deductible for U.S. federal income tax purposes, subject to any applicable limitations. If the application is not granted, your gift will not qualify as a charitable contribution and will not be deductible for U.S. federal income tax purposes.
